SV. Towards and passed, midwife Elsie Walkerdine, who delivered 4000 babies and is about to retire, walking down Shere Road, Deptford. SV. Front of house No 56 as she approaches and knocks on the door. CU. Door is opened by Mrs Leary's mother, Mrs North and the midwife starts to go in. GV. Interior, Mrs Leary is sitting with two weeks old Colin Paul. The midwife followed by the mother in law walks in and the midwife sits by Mrs Leary. CU. Mrs North looking on. GV.
