    Postbridge, Dartmoor.

    Long panoramic panning shot of the countryside, rocks, hills, all green and nice. M/S of a country house with a red telephone box next to it and a little red mailbox in the wall. Green door opens and dog comes out followed by a postman. This is obviously a post office and postman leaves to deliver the mail. M/S of a postman sorting the mail while walking towards his horse. They are at the river bank and a bridge can be seen behind them. C/U shot of postman's hands putting the mail in his mail bag (mostly newspapers). C/U shot of the face of the postman. Cut back on his hands closing the bag.

    The postman is 62 years old Mr John Bellamy who is probably one of the last postmen in the world who is delivering the mail on horseback. C/U shot of the face of Mr Bellamy's horse, Tinker. M/S of Mr Bellamy climbing on the horseback while his dog runs around them. M/S of Mr Bellamy riding across the river and through the countryside.

    Low angle M/S of foxgloves. C/U shot of the foxgloves. L/S of Mr Bellamy giving the mail to an elderly lady, Ms Callaway, over the fence. M/S of Ms Callaway giving a treat to Tinker and petting him. She gives a letter ready to be posted to Mr Bellamy and he rides off. Voiceover talks about Mr Bellamy's duties as well as advantages of riding across the countryside daily.

    M/S of Mr Bellamy approaching a farm gate. He opens the gate, rides in and closes it. His dog goes straight after him. M/S of a great looking brown cow. Her name is Honeysuckle. Not unusual name on a farm called Laughter Hole. Mr Bellamy approaches a man repairing his tractor and gives him his mail. C/U shot of the man's face as he looks at his mail. M/S of the two men chatting for a while. C/U shot of Mr Bellamy's face as he talks with smile - pleasant face. Long scenic shot of the countryside.

    Note: commentator refers to John as Mr 'Ballamy', but Bellamy is his correct surname. See CP 439 for a later story about John / Jack.
