    American cataloguer's note: D'Annunzio, Italian soldier, orator & poet, after retirement from active service with many honours, led the occupation of Fiume, which Italy and Yugoslavia both wanted, and set himself up as ruler.

    Fiume also known as Rijeka or Carnaro. This is one of d'Annunzio's last reviews in Fiume, later in 1920 it became a free city, in 1924 it passed to Italy, after WWII it went to Yugoslavia
