• Short Summary

Scottish brass band plays a famous tune - "The Joker".

  • Description

    Scotland?

Introductory intertitle reads: "Sooner or later all Trombone Players of note turn their attention to that famous tune - 'The Joker'."

"Today the Scottish C.W.S. Band (Winners of many Contests North & South of the Border) and James Chalmers (the celebrated Champion Trombonist) play this famous Burlesque for us -"

High angle L/S of the band playing. Various shots of the band.

Note: I presume that C.W.S. stands for Co-operative Wholesale Society - JH.

Indeed yes, CWS does stand for Cooperative Wholesale Society. The band is still in existence today performing at the highest level; its website may be found at http://www.theco-operativefuneralcareband.co.uk/
