    Venue is the CCI ground in Bombay.

    Of the three men in the early shot, the man in plain clothes on the left is Arthur Gilligan, the captain of the touring MCC team, and on the right is Maurice Tate. The Indian player in the middle may be Palwankar Vithal, who captained the Indian teams in the two matches in Bombay that Tate played in but Gilligan did not.
