    Opens with refugees passing on road; horse-drawn cart; woman pushing pram. Another horse-drawn vehicle follows; a woman behind it pushes a bundle onto the wagon - maybe even a baby! French soldiers are walking along same road with the civilians; most wear armbands with crosses- -from medical service?

    MS refugees on rural road: family riding in small covered cart; a farmer with 3 large horses pulling a big wagon. Old lady pushing wheelbarrow stacked high with possessions. Soldier pushes homemade wheelbarrow a little way for an old man.

    2 women running pushing prams. More vehicles passing. A boy; c. age 12; handles 2 giant horses pulling a huge wagon with a cow tied to the back! 2 army trucks pass him. Vehicles stop while soldiers cross in foreground.
