    1st September was the first day of a concentrated voluntary cleaning up of Warsaw. Various shots of workers, armed with shovels piling rubble onto lorries. A group of workers wave as ministers pass - could include Polish Minister of Education Skrezeszewski and Vice President Zembrowski. President Bierut is doing some clearing work with a shovel - he is cheered by enthusiastic workers.
