A gas works in Italy, insects are gassed, skiing on straw, billiards on a train and 12-year-old American author Dave Statler.
Titles read: "CINETOPICALITIES IN BRIEF".
Various locations of events.
At Port Marghera near Venice, Italy, we see various shots of men working at a gas works / oil refinery where an easily combustible and cheap liquid gas is produced. A woman in a tent uses gas from a cylinder to light a lamp and a stove.
In Durban, South Africa, we see men in gas masks and protective overalls spraying gas in a street to fight an insect plague.
In the Bavarian Alps in Germany we see people at a ski-school skiing down a slope of dry straw and leaping over a small jump. It looks like good fun.
Somewhere in the United States of America we see various shots of the Viking, the famous Midwest American train with a billiards table on board. 'Fancy-shot champion' Charles Peterson does some trick billiards shots.
Also in the United States we see 12-year-old writer Dave Statler in a cowboy outfit, reading a passage from the western thriller he wrote and illustrated himself called 'Roaring Guns'. He tells us his next book is "gonna be a juicy one - 40 men killed on each page - wow!".
