In New York, United States of America, we see exterior and several interior shots of the two caravans that Commander Gatti is taking to Africa for his expedition under the Belgian Government. Gatti goes inside and has a drink with a lady - it is very luxurious! We see the bath and kitchen (with electric refrigerator), then Gatti sits at a desk, speaking on a telephone to the driver. M/S of the two trailers being driven along a busy New York street, off on their way to the Belgian Congo!
At Fordham University (United States of America?), female science students look through microscopes at a science laboratory bench. We see a magnified view of vitamin B found in milk. A girl cycles on a stationary bike while breathing into a tube to measure her energy output as the results come out on a graph. A man takes the same test and the two hold up their graphs for the camera with deadpan expressions - the man uses 10% more energy.
Near Nanking in China, fishermen lie on their stomachs in small boats, wading through swampy water with their hands to catch carp fish - by hand!
In a hall in the United States of America we see a man from the secret service comparing counterfeit money to the real thing before an audience of theatre cashiers. He points with a ruler to enlargements of real and fake ten dollar bills.
Various shots on a field at a circus school in Wisconsin show students doing acrobatics, swinging on trapezes and walking on tightropes before a crowd of onlookers. A novice clown topples over on a tower, does a backward roll and is helped up. (Some scenes in natural sound.)
