• Short Summary

New inventions: substance that stops bleeding, a perpetual motion machine and a folding plane.

  • Description

    Titles read: "CINETOPICIALITIES IN BRIEF".

    Various locations of events.

At a laboratory in the United States of America (?) we see scientists making tests on a new substance synthesised from animal blood that will stop bleeding in seconds. The clotting ingredient in the blood is seen being purified before being mixed with milk of magnesia. Blood is taken from an assistant and mixed with the agent; in 3 seconds the blood has solidified. "In wartime the discovery is of tremendous value", says commentator.

We then see another invention being demonstrated - a perpetual motion machine. It is also used as a generator to supply the inventor's house with electricity. A woman does the ironing using the power while the inventor adjusts some light bulbs. (Location of events unknown.)

In the United States we see another contraption being demonstrated - a small fold up plane. The inventor unfolds the wings and the plane takes off and soars across the sky (it does not look particularly safe!).
