    In Venice, Italy, we see a brief shot of St Mark's Square, then several shots of women taking part in competitions for speed typing, making and painting pottery, machine sewing and embroidery. Commentator says a diploma won at one of these contests is a passport to a good job. The women wear dark uniforms. M/Ss of the girls modelling dresses they have made in the dressmaking contest.
