People climbing onto carousel; an old man in uniform helping - Chelsea Pensioner? Soldier and other man start to push carousel. GV looking over heads of crowd; pan across; lots of hats & parasols; tents in BG and large sign 'Le Palais de Danse'. Shot of woman (with head out of frame) winding steam organ. Nice shot of music in the park: two ladies play violin & bass fiddle;very old veteran holds music on stand for violinist; piano behind him; trees in BG.

    Next; shot panning across soldiers seated in rows; a few have canes. Shot from audience w/ Army hats in FG; music hall type entertainment on stage; with a woman singing and dancing; amid screens and palms. MS British royalty watching show; including Queen Alexandra; her daughter Duchess of Fife (Princess Louise) & Princess Louise's daughter. Carousel going around: great shot and good quality; faces of children and adults smiling & having fun as they swing by: 2 fashionable young women (1 has cool sunglasses); 2 cute little boys in straw hats; shorts; etc. Soldier pushing; running on side. Women in long white dresses; with large basket of flowers; pins flowers on old veteran with long white beard; medals. Pony contest: pan children sitting on ponies; mothers stand beside; one holds doll for girl; cute scene! Flower ladies again. Girl winding organ; now face visible; bonnet.

    Note: one of the women standing beside a child on a pony looks like the actress Gladys Cooper to me - JH.
