my father was a piper in the second battalion of the black watch.piper john mcrae.he is in the front rank on the left flank.he is still alive today.he is 102.He remembers taking part in Glasgow but did not know it had been filmed. This is the only film there is of the 2nd batt of the black watch. When i first saw this film i spotted dad right away. The pipe major that day was pipe major smith.pipers that day would have been robertson, craig, kelly.chisholm, mcpherson, ackroyd, mcrae, mckenzie, noon, moodie, mcintosh and mckinley. Some of the drummers would have been, kelly, barker, mahaffy, farrel, davis.stewart, freely, wright, bickers, crawford, martin and reid.It was great to see dad playing with the black watch.Thanyou.Kenny mcrae.
