    Irish Hospitals' Annual Sweepstakes. Various shots of carnival procession. Crates of counterfoil tickets are carried on carnival floats. This year the theme is stamps. The floats arrive at Mansion House. The gates have been decorated to look like a pillar box. The floats are decorated with stamps from all over the world and models of animals representing various nations (eg India has a tiger, there is a moose for Canada).

    C/U of Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alfie Byrne (Alfred Byrne). He holds the hand of a toddler and waves at the camera. Various shots of glamorous girls in fancy dress carrying the counterfoil crates into the Mansion House.

    Interior. Various shots of large hall where the mixing of counterfoils is taking place. More girls in fancy dress tip the sweepstakes tickets into tombolas. Some of the tickets are tipped into a trough - the girls mix up the tickets by hand.
