  • Description

Full title reads: "Clyde Bank. 'Cease work! ... on giant Cunarder'!! Thousands affected - and nation-wide regret - at sudden decision, which all hope will soon be changed to carry on!!

    Clydebank, Glasgow, Scotland.

Exterior shots of John Brown's shipyard in Clydebank. No work is happening after cancellation of work on giant new liner for the Cunard Line. The voiceover suggests that the order to stop work has been over turned and that work will soon pick up - this is very confused.

N.B. The ship being built - the 534 - was later to be named 'Queen Mary'.
