Roman Catholic Mass held outdoors in the grounds of Westminster Cathedral; w/ cathedral on right and residential buildings on left. A raised, open-fronted rigid tent, fitted with an altar, is at the far end of the grounds; w/ steps leading up; c/ very large crowd with Boy Scouts lining the processional route for the clergy.
Procession of church officials through the crowd carrying large ornate cross and other ritual objects. They ascend steps; 1 official has very long robe carried by another priest behind him. He kneels at altar w/ robe draping down steps; before taking a seat on the platform. Various shots; w/ some CUs; of priests on platform performing rites. Then a procession down the steps from the platform and back through the crowd; carrying cross; etc. Cardinal Bourne blessing the crowd as he processes back to the cathedral.; as people on the sides cross themselves.
