Annual Roman Catholic Procession in Manchester.
The procession starts in Albert Square. The Bishop of Salford watches. Various shots of the procession of children, some carry banners, includes choir boys and girls in white dresses. There are far less children walking in the parade than normal as it is raining heavily - the girls' white dresses are stained with mud, some wear coats over top. Various shots of forlorn looking crowd watching. Representative from Manchester's Italian community carry a large figure of Madonna and child decorated with flowers.
