Michael Denison and Dulcie Gray choose carpets and wallpapers for their new home.

L/S of a rather grand building seen between trees. M/S of woman walking past grand Regency houses. Narrator informs us that two film stars live here - Michael Denison and his wife Dulcie Gray. Camera pans to the front of a house. Dissolve to interior.
The two stars look at a model of the interior of their home. Their designer Bertram Tyrer places different pieces of paper representing wallpaper and carpets into the model. Michael and Dulcie discuss which they like. The narrator describes how if the wallpaper is patterned, a plain carpet makes the room more restful. Colour combinations are discussed. C/U of Bertram. C/U of the model. C/U of Michael and Dulcie - she smiles and Michael nods in agreement. C/U of model chairs and sofas. These are placed inside the model. C/U of Bertram as he moves the furniture.
C/U of a real carpet, various designs are seen as the carpet samples are turned over for the couple to choose. Narrator states: "Confronted with a display of British craftsmanship such as this it is no easy task". M/S of Michael, Dulcie and Bertram in the carpet showroom. A salesman turns over the carpets. Dulcie looks very glamorous in a green silk hat and matching gloves. C/U of a carpet.
