    Various shots show carpet seller Charles Varney making a portrait of former Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill from a square of carpet.

    He first draws around a paper shape of Churchill's head and pulls out all the tufts of carpet within the shape with clippers. He fits the paper shape inside the carpet shape then cuts a section from the paper and starts to fill in the shoulder of his carpet with the appropriate wool. He makes long loops with the wool, then trims the tufts so that it looks like carpet.
