• Short Summary

Stirling Moss visits a new car washing contraption - could be first carwash in the country?

  • Description

Titles read: "LONDON - CAR LAUNDRY".

    Brompton Road.

General view of cars to be washed lined up in a garage. We see racing driver Stirling Moss in his E type Jaguar driving onto a turntable inside the garage. Various shots show the inside of the car being vacuumed by two black garage workers. Then the car is hooked up to a conveyor belt and pulled through a carwash - the first in the country? Water and soap are sprayed on the car while revolving brushes get it clean. Water rinses the bubbles off.

As the car emerges from the carwash men start to polish it. C/U Moss watching. When the wash is complete Moss gets into his Jaguar and drives off.

Extensive notes on file explain how the whole thing works!
