    Barge transporting coal in Manchester canal. Two canals are constructed one on top of another. An aquaduct is seen closing. Several shots of the barges moving along the upper canal - the one which was just closed. After the barges have moved away, the gates are closed. Close up of a man blowing a whistle - signal for revolving aquaduct to open. Several shots of the aquaduct opening and large ship passing through the lower canal.
