    Canadians In France.

    Soldiers; guns in a field; more arriving; horses pull more equipment; in BG. Pan left to group of men in FG standing together; with officer giving orders; pointing to distance. At signal; they split up in teams; run to guns; get ready and fire.

    Canadians building a barrier wall; a long mound. Men toss up gravel; others stand on top smoothing it out. Shovels; pickaxes. Beginning to build another wall; 1 man is down in hole or trench; another hands rocks to him; he packs them up on ground in front of him - long pile of small rocks / gravel runs along top of the trench.
