  • Short Summary

Mrs Malcolm Campbell is seen at home working on her husband's car and (possibly) driving.

  • Description

No title. Probably one of the "Camera Interview" series featuring Mrs Malcolm Campbell - the wife of the racing driver. Garden scenes, Mr and Mrs Campbell in the garden with their children. Idyllic setting with the sun shining, tulips growing, dog lying by the side of his mistress etc.

Intertitle reads: "With her own Track experience, and a famous racing motorist for husband, could any wife help but assist with the machines?" C/U of Mrs Campbell at work on a car engine. Panning shot to show several cars. Different angle of Mrs Campbell with her hands under the bonnet. "This is "BlueBird", Capt. Campbell's "crack" speed devourer." intertitle is followed by a shot of the husband and wife team tinkering with the car's engine. C/U of Mr Campbell smoking a pipe. C/U of Mrs Campbell smiling. M/S of Mrs Campbell driving away one of the cars.

(Following section may be from a different story - doesn't seem to match in with the above as is a different car and different stock. However, it could be Mrs Campbell driving, shot on another occasion.) M/S of a racing car being driven by a woman (?) L/S of a racing track with two cars racing. Another M/S of the car being driven then a M/S of back of the car.

Was originally an item in Eve's Film Review issue number 346.
