No title. "Only on the Sahara Desert is the curious Kangaroo Mouse found. - Tunis, Africa." C/U of two Kangaroo Mice. C/U of head of one of the mice. "Hind legs like a native Australian." C/U of mouse nibbling on something. "Almost too quick for the camera's eye." The mice jump around all over the place on what looks like a set. Several of them go in and out of a burrow then disappear. C/U of an alligator's head. It opens its mouth and snaps its jaws. M/S of man standing thigh deep in water wrestling with the alligator. "To a finish!" The battle continues. "This will take the fight out of him, (if you know how)." M/S of the alligator being manhandled. He is turned on his back on the ground. The hunter passes his hands backwards and forwards over the alligator's belly (pretending to hypnotise it) and the alligator lies still. "While still asleep, he's harnessed." The alligator is lowered into the river attached to a harness. He is strapped to the front of a boat. "Where to, Sir!" The boat moves along with the alligator strapped to the front. Various shots. When the boat reaches a jetty, the man in the back falls out into the water.

Note: This is an extract from a "Walter Futter's Curiosities" film, presumably bought in by Pathe for reuse.

The alligator may be a crocodile - I can never tell the two apart.

    Safety neg only.
