    M/S of a vintage yellow Bullnose Morris driving away with four people in it. M/S as a man gives a ticket to a couple in their car, M/S as they drive off. The narrator explains they are here for a rally at Woburn Abbey. Various shots of the cars driving up and getting their tickets. M/S of two men in a car, one of them is wearing a top hat, a lady walks up to them and sells them a programme. C/U as she hands over the programme which says 'Club Rally' on the front. C/U of her smiling. C/U of all the smoke billowing out of the back as they drive off, '1912 Morris Oxford' is written on the back of the car. M/S of another driver in a cloud of smoke.

    M/S of a man manoeuvring between empty oil cans, doing the back and turning test. M/S of three men in deerstalker hats, one of them is smoking a pipe. M/S as a lady polishes her car, a man is looking under the bonnet, C/U as he fiddles in the engine. C/U of a car with 'Nellie' painted on the bonnet. M/S of a red M.G. M/S as some people walk up to it, a man lifts the bonnet. M/S of the engine, he closes the bonnet. M/S as a man fits a lantern to the front of his car, C/U of the shiny lamp. M/S of a gadget shaped like a hand which is attached to the side of a car for signalling purposes, M/S of a demonstration of the hand moving up and down, it has a red light in the middle. M/S of the operator reflected in the wing mirror. M/S as a group of men start running towards their cars. M/S of a man and woman watching them. M/S as a man pulls the hood of the car up, the competition is to see who can raise the roof first. Various shots of the drivers pulling their roofs up. M/S of a man watching with a stopwatch. C/U of the stopwatch going round. M/S of one man having trouble lifting his roof. M/S as the men run back to the referee, one young man hands him a piece of paper, he is the winner. M/S of the Duke of Bedford and another man watching from a car. C/U of the Duke's face. M/S of an old red racing car backing between oil cans, various shots of this. M/S of a yellow car weaving between markers forwards and backwards. M/S of the Duke presenting a pair of driving shoes to the winner. M/S of the man seen earlier, he is still trying to get his roof up.

    "M/S of a red M.G." - that's the first MG ever built, FMO 842, (originally numbered as FC 7900), known as "Old Number One".
