A rather shy man on a motorcycle poses for the camera - probably Eric Fernihough who set a new speed record at this event - over 143 miles an hour.

    The car race is the First March Road Handicap on the Campbell Circuit at Brooklands on 12th March 1938.

    Car No.1 (at 00:23) is Price Bira's ERA (he finished second). The winner was K. Gammons in a Riley.
