    Industries of British Guiana. A typical planter's house. A woman rides a horse in front of a grand house. Large open canal barges take workers to the plantations. A field of Plantains. Workers in the field. A man pulls up a Cassava plant from the ground and shows it to the camera. Two other plants are shown. A banana plantation. A man chops down a large bunch of bananas and presents it to the camera. We see produce being loaded into small boats which are then paddled along the canal. New Amsterdam at the mouth of the Berbice River.

    Moving shot of street scenes. Horse and cart, cars, people and children walking along, municipal building. The park - various views. Donkey carts and an open bus pass by a church. The Berbice River. Moving shots of the riverbanks from a boat. A Dutch plantation settlement. A cattle ranch on the Guiana Savanas. Men ride horses on a farm. They herd cattle to Takama through country landscapes, over a rickety bridge. They arrive at their destination - another ranch. Shots of the cows being herded into pens and drinking from a stream. Shots of the ranch. Cattle are herded on to a boat.
