A tractor drawn threshing machine cuts the wheat. C/U various angle shots of the thresher at work pushing the wheat into the cutting blade and tying it into bundles before laying it on the ground. Various shots as some of the wheat is cut by hand because of the weather. The little girl walks over with basket of food and drink. The workers stop to wipe their faces and drink from a bottle. Various shots as everyone carries the wheatsheafs to a pile. M/S of them falling off conveyor belt onto big pile, the workers pitchfork them onto cart. They sit down and rest afterwards, pans across them drinking and eating. Various shots as they continue work then walk back to the farmhouse at the end of the day.
