11-year-old Leslie Gordon sketches fashionable clothes, cuts out fabric and sews.

  • Description

    London.

Various shots of a boy dress designer, 11-year-old Leslie Gordon at work. He sketches ideas for ladies' fashions, then cuts out dress shapes from fabric, using a pattern. He pins the pieces together, then sits at a sewing machine and starts to use it. We are told his only guidance in this interest has been in machining, taught him by his tailor father.

C/U of a small scale wedding outfit he has previously made on a doll. We then see Leslie looking through several small and full-sized garments he has created, with the wedding doll in the background.
