Exotic birds are compared to more mundane chickens and ducks.
A group of oriental men stand holding large birds with very long tail feathers. These birds are contrasted with a group of Plymouth Rock hens. These have apparently been sent by France to the great World's Poultry Congress at the Crystal Palace. Various M/Ss and C/Us of the birds. C/U of head of a cockerel as he crows. We then see some Rhode Island Reds.
C/U of a prime specimen. Barbary ducks are the next up. A man in a suit and hat herds a group of these ducks. C/Us of one of the group. Crested Muscovy are the next breed featured. "A striking specimen in the pigeon group" is shown.
