• Short Summary

Outdoor boxing match for the American Champion of the Fleet title - Zeman beats Huggins.

  • Description

Full title reads: "California. 'Bim-Bam!! What a fight!!!' Zeman finally flattens out Huggins after each had flattened each other ... 'good and plenty' ... in hectic final bout for 'Champion of the Fleet' title."

    California, United States of America.

Good close shots of boxing match from ring side. Intercut with shots of the crowd (mainly made up of sailors from the US Navy.) It is a hard fought contest. The ring is in the open air.

At the bell to call the end of the round, the film cuts away to show a couple of women in the midst of the sailors.

As the match restarts Zeman throws a really sharp right hook which hurts his opponent who stumbles and falls to the floor. The other boxer also stumbles. Intercut with crowd looking anxious. The Huggins gets up and is floored again.

More fighting and cuts to the crowd. Huggins gets floored a couple more times by Zeman before finally staying down.
