  • Description

Unused / unissued material - dates and locations may be unclear / unknown.

    Location of events unknown.

At a conference we see Health Minister Aneurin / Nye Bevan talking before a microphone. He answers several questions put forward by those gathered about housing, essential works order, land nationalisation, charges on housing loans. Lots of heckling from the crowd (unseen) but he deals with them pretty well

    Several cuts to the speech.

He talks of the need of the present time to build housing for the poor and speaks against well-off people being able to build luxury houses while the poor have to go without. He also talks of the need for building houses to rent because the vast majority of people cannot afford to buy their own houses in this country.

He talks against the cost of houses rising because they are scarce, when they don't cost any more to build than if they were plentiful.
