    Following on from UN 1356 A, Bevan talks about housing, saying that apart from repairing and rebuilding houses blown down by Hitler's bombs they also have to try and make up for the arrears of housing left by 50 years of misrule by the Tory government.

    He says he has placed the principle responsibility for the main features of the housing programme upon the public authorities.
