    M/S of Lord Mayor Vermuth (?). M/Ss of suited dignitaries walking along street. Shot of Roman Catholic religious procession; probably southern Germany or Austria; c. 1920's (some of the clothing looks like that region- -Tyrolean hats; lederhosen; etc.). People in costumes ride on wagons on streets lined w/ spectators. Cool shot of another horse-drawn wagon approaching; on it are young girls dressed in white robes; a statue of a saint by a little model of a church; on the back a nun and group of children. Wagon full of young women or teenage girls.

    World War One; aftermath. Rebuilding in occupied Germany after war. Dismantling damaged aeroplanes. Men bashing at ruined aircraft; then stacking up pieces. Workers building bridge. Loading bricks into wheelbarrow-type container on train tracks; young boys are helping. Occupation; construction; demolition.
