    "Signs on front of shops and doors giving prices (of food?)." - no, the signs bear the word :Tisch", meaning table, then below that are various street-names. Presumably these are signs showing which tables people from various streets were to sit at to receive their meals.

    "United States General Daniel" - this is Brigadier General Maurice W Daniel.

    "General Craig" is Brigadier General Charles F Craig. The handover took place on 19 July 1953.

    The unveiling of the memorial to the Resistance Movement seen later in the clips took place on 20 July 1953.
