• Short Summary

Comedy double act tell jokes and play very bizarre looking instruments.

  • Description

Bennett and Williams. Part of PLAY SONG AND PATTER issue.

    Pathe Studios, London.

C/U of wireless being operated. Various shots of comic duo Bennett and Williams performing double act. One is the straight man, the other is the funny man. He comes out with quick succession of surreal jokes (such as "I had a job at the zoo sand papering elephants down to greyhounds"). They then play a tune called "Au Revoir" on very strange looking instruments. The instruments are played with bows like a cello but have no acoustic body, instead they have horns attached to end.
