  • Short Summary

Experiment shows how ice forms then an ice skating rink and an ice cream maker.

  • Description

No title. A story about ice.

Man lights a Bunsen burner underneath a coil of metal. Dissolve into shot of a piece of tubing bent into a zig zag shape. "The heat in this thero-refrigerator produces intense cold!" reads an intertitle. The metal is presumably heated then ice forms on the outside. C/U of ice being scraped off the device. Man collects some of the ice in a metal container. "Frost to some people means skating ice." M/S of a man in black (with devil's horns but not very noticeable!) skating on an outdoor rink.

"...and others still use ice to make other sorts of ice." C/U of a small shovel of ice being placed inside a revolving drum. M/S of a woman pouring a viscous liquid from a bowl into the machine. She then operates the hand turned machine which has rollers. Possibly an ice cream maker. C/U of stuff coming out of the machine into a metal container. The woman then scoops the mixture out into small boxes. To the left of the picture there are many hands reaching out for whatever it is she has made - coconut ice? ice cream? who knows - but the machine and the process look pretty unhygienic! She puts a lid on a box and gives it to one of the grasping hands.

    Safety print only.
