    World War One. Military training. Lancashire Fusiliers at Bayonet Exercise. Opens with side view of group of soldiers drilling with bayonets. Then LS of a sort of progressive Bayonet exercise: on a flat plain with a huge hill in distance; soldiers run from distance toward camera; first jumping over a fence then running up and knocking aside bags hanging from bars on poles; then run a few more yards and stab more bags lying on the ground. Violence. Two more lines of fusiliers repeat this exercise.
