• Short Summary

Yolande Donlan is Guest Carnival Queen at Jersey's Battle of Flowers.

  • Description

    Jersey, Channel Islands.

Various shots of floats in parade at Jersey's annual flower parade - The Battle of Flowers.

SCU. Yolande Donlan (Guest Carnival Queen and British Film Star) waving from float.

More shots of floats and people in fancy dress. The floats are decorated with flowers. The voiceover says 'Let's cut out the cackle and look at the girls' and the next few shots concentrate of women posing on the floats.

The winning float from St. Saviour's Parish is modelled on a space rocket.

The floats are now stripped of flowers and the crowds of spectators throw the blooms at each other - this is the Battle of Flowers.
