    The pop star Joe Brown arrives at one of Dr Barnardo's homes to inaugurate a show-biz scheme for the children, Woodford Bridge, Essex.

M/S of car door opening and pop star Joe Brown climbing out and being greeted by a mass of children, he smiles and laughs and signs autographs for children. Various shots of children with banners reading: "WELCOME JOE BROWN". M/S of Brown shaking hands with boy he tugs at the boys hair and then at his own turning to the camera and smiling, indicating the similarity in hairstyles.

    Camera tracks back from Joe Brown, he plays a song "The Cartersladd" with his band in in the grounds of the large house. The band is standing on a small stage. Various shots of Joe Brown singing and playing the guitar. The small crowd of children clap and smile with enjoyment. Camera tracking back from shot of drummer.     The Barnardo's home Joe is visiting here is the former "Garden City" home in Woodford Bridge, Essex.
