    Introductory intertitle reads: "Everybody knows what a barge is ... a large piece of floating wood with a home inside, sometimes... ".

    Pan along the roof of a barge. CU small dog tied up on roof. CU group of chickens in pen.

    Intertitle reads: "... and sometimes the barge sticks by the river side and becomes a semi-permanent hutment".

    LV of barge stuck up into river bank and held up on wooden stocks. Viewed through ellipse frame we see a woman and child on roof of barge. Another shot of a barge, high and dry, and clearly used for living in.

    Intertitle reads: "But, the kind of barge we came across was a real 'super; affair .... a kind of bargee's dream."

    Pan along several large barges on wide river. They are clearly very decorated and have lots of windows. Travel shot up steps to roof terrace. These are clearly upper class barges.

    Intertitle reads: "Anybody could get used to living on this super barge -".

    VS owners in their barge enjoying a meal and looking at the view as they travel along.

    Intertitle reads: "Even a cocktail bar isn't barred!"

    VS of cocktail bar with waiter mixing drinks for customers. MS waiters prepare large dining room for guests. VS of lounge. It looks more like a floating hotel. Guests sit and enjoy the lounge.
