    VS British Minister for Overseas Development Mrs. Barbara Castle on her visit to Tanzania, takes a look around Upper Kitete Village. She chats with the native leaders and with the families, and holds one of the African babies. She takes a look at the small herd of cattle which the village owns. Takes notes on what she sees. Has long talks with the British volunteer workers who are trying to put the natives right and teach them how to improve their way of living. Volunteer worker produces a large marrow which the natives have grown. VS Barbara Castle chatting to teachers and British volunteers. GV. Exterior (three shots) of State House, Dar-es- Salaam. VS. of Barbara Castle and her meeting with President of Tanganyika Julius Nyerere. Other people amongst the party talking are Mr. R Fowler, British High Commissioner, etc. Mrs.Castle then leaves by car.
