Plymouth crowds welcome soldiers returned from duties overseas.

Sequence begins with a mass of soldiers in uniform with pith helmets, shouldering rifles, as they march. They stop and about turn, to face officers and the mayor, who wears a fur trimmed gown and chain of office. He shakes hands with each sword bearing officer in turn. M/S assembled soldiers in square with large church to the side. The mayor inspects lines of soldiers, proceeded by an officer with a sword. The mayor speaks to the men, who shoulder swords. L/S of soldiers giving a three cheers salute, raising their arms in unison.
