Re-enactment of the Battle of Quebec by the Royal Sussex Regiment.
The Royal Sussex Regiment celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Quebec with a re-enactment. M/S of the opening ceremony of the Roussillon Barracks, and unveiling of a plaque by the Duke of Norfolk.
M/S Soldier puts on a wig. A group of men dressed up in striped shirts as 'sailors' pull along a trailer transformed into a boat full of soldiers. M/S of soldiers in 18th century period outfits marching along with muskets.
M/S spectators. There are various shots of the advance on both sides, and the skirmish, and the troops charge. One is dressed as an Indian. A soldier fixes a white feather in his hat. After the battle the white plume became part of the Royal Sussex badge.
