    Liverpool, Merseyside.

    Various shots as the "Arundel Castle" and the Swedish hospital ship "Drottningholm" arrive in port at Liverpool bringing back some of the 2,500 repatriated British prisoners. People wave from the quay. Another Swedish ship "Gripsholm" comes in and the soldiers wave madly. They sing "Roll Out the Barrel" and cheer.

    The Adjutant General, Sir Ronald Adam, makes a welcoming speech and gets cheers. L/S of the soldiers cheering and waving.
