    Various shots, in a woodland area where a man with sound recording equipment (possibly a naturalist) tries to record the courting song of the rare Woodcock. CUs The Woodcock perform its courting dance, displaying its tail like a fan and above the eyes there is a red swellings known as "roses". When the recordist tries to get too close, the bird attacks the recording equipment and he eventually gives up and walks away.

    Note: Date on original record: 02/05/1966.

    Amendment March 2011:
    This bird is actually a blackcock, a totally different species!
