    Title reads: "Spectacular Films Of Fiery Atlas Explosion".

    Florida, United States of America (USA).

    MS NASA Atlas rocket on firing pad at Cape Canaveral. CU Pan up the Atlas rocket, to the Mercury capsule on top. LS Mercury capsule. Various shots as rocket is launched, but it is evident that the missile is not following its flight path, and will have to be destroyed. MS Men looking through telescope. LS Capsule is blown loose from the rocket, and the rocket blows up. CU Explosion. MS Men on the ground running for cover. LS Space capsule attached to its own parachute descends to earth, (experts say had an astronaut been in the capsule he could have survived). LS Helicopter brings in the capsule. GV Capsule on the ground with people looking at it. MS Man walks away from capsule.
