    First we see women running in the 400 metres, won by Pat Lowe. Next is the 100 metres women's relay won by Neil, Ramsden, Cooper and Peat.

    Several shots of the men's pole-vaulter event, with France against Britain. Alain-Pierre Legrain hits the bar, knocking it down. Mike Bull does a great vault - he won the event with a height of 16 foot 5 inches. In the men's High Hurdles, David Hemery comes in first. In the 1500 metres Ian Stewart comes in first with a new British record of 3 minutes 39 seconds. Spectators applaud. Photographers take pictures of three of the winning athletes, Stewart, Jim Douglas and John Boulter.
