Aerial archive shots of bombing raids carried out by Lancaster's of Bomber Command including the bombing of a German battle ship. Shots of deserted buildings at R.A.F. Waddington in Lincolnshire. The same hangers are still operational, and a Vulcan jet Bomber comes in to land. A Vulcan taxies along the runway, the aircrew exit the jet. Shots of insignia on the side, and blocking up the jet intake.
At a large ceremony in Lincoln, R.A.F. Waddington are presented the Honorary Freedom of the City. Attending the ceremony, held in the centre of town are, the Secretary of State for Air, Mr Airey Neave, Air Chief Marshal Sir Harry Broadhurst, Air Chief Marshal Sir Walter Dawson, Air Vice Marshal G.A. Walker, the Mayor and city officials.
After the presentation the R.A.F. with band playing, march through the City with the Queens Colours and fixed bayonets, displaying the Honour.
