    Ascot Sunday - at Boulter's Lock and Marlow Regatta mark unofficial opening of the River Season.


    Opens with shot looking along shore; with fashionable upper-class people in many small rowing boats which are floating in the water just off the shore. Next; view from land looking toward water upriver; over many more people sitting on shore; with scattered umbrellas; to protect from sun; river stretches into distance; with many trees on banks.

    Looking over heads of onshore spectators straight across river; a long boat with crew of 5 rows past to left. CU a boat pushing out from shore; team in striped shirts; other boats on river in BG. Pan rt. on boat floating out into river; then as crew begin to row. LS (across river) boats in race rowing past. More similar shots - looking over the spectators - ladies' spring and summer hats toward river and race.

    CU group of young men carry a canoe out of a shed. Then; another team walking down slope hands on each other's shoulders; other people standing around; walking by - some sort of boat club. Then; same crew down by the water where boats are launched. They get into their boat; with help from other young men.
